Stravinsky/Mendelssohn: Revenge & Reformation
Saturday, October 28, 2018 @ 7:30pm
Shasta College Theatre; Admission: $10 General; $8 Seniors; $5 Students w/ID
The SSO presents Stravinsky’s classic tale of puppets that come to life and their ever-so-human feelings of unrequited love, jealousy, and revenge, in Petroushka. Opposing these darker emotions, Mendelssohn brings to life a sense of joy and reverence in his Symphony no. 5 “The Reformation”, presented now in honor of the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s revolutionary act that began the Protestant Reformation.
